Made the trek down once again this year for the Colorado Springs SQL Saturday and again it was worth the drive.
This year the Spring’s SQL Saturday drew 4x the crowd it did last year and, in my opinion here’s why:
Held at Bigg’s Family Fun Center. What geek doesn’t like Laser Tag, Go-Carts, and an Arcade?
SQL Skiing. While I didn’t attend I know it was probably a blast. Skiing always is.
SQL Family. Everyone I’ve met with the Colorado Springs SQL User Group were super friendly and helpful.
The speakers. Speakers came from all over and dropped some serious SQL knowledge.
Resume help. What a great idea this was! Bring your resume and have a professional take a look and give you pointers. I got the most out of this and have actually been implementing the tweaks all afternoon.
Mock interviews. While I didn’t participate I can only guess that it was as helpful as the resume advice.
All in all it was a busy day of fun and learning and networking.
If you missed it this year please be sure to catch it next year. Thanks again to all the organizers, vendors, and speakers!
Mike,
Really enjoyed the Partitioninf session. Would be nice to get scripts you used to practice.
Thanks,
Thomas
